an assignment from our class was to reflect "today" or "daily". i just couldn't scrap on the typical things, like we ate eggs for breakfast, or i pick the boys up from school. not without documenting this first. because mourning has naturally become my "daily". i can't help it and wouldn't want to. it's a life process. it makes us appreciate those around us more than we did. hopefully it makes us more patient. more loving. kinder.
back in may of 2006 i posted about scrapping "shabby days". it's been a goal of mine to not just document the fat & sassy days, the days that make us look like the perfect family from the outside, but the days that define us, the days that make us recognizable to our kids, the real-life meat & bones of who we are. obviously not everything goes in a family album. but some shabby things do. and this page for me was another "crossing the threshold" in my journey.
i hope you have a lovely day.
p.s. tanner took this shot. he did a good job, didn't he?

Hi, I just happened by your blog while surfing around and noticed your digi pages. I am totally new to this and went out and bought the Adobe Photoshop CS3 and of course it all looks like Chinese to me. Do you know where I can find places to learn? I checked Jessica Sprague but of course I barely missed the 1st class and now they're doin the 2nd one. Your pages are beautiful! And I would love to do some myself. Thanks, Julia
